January Favorites

As this lovely month draws to a close, I thought I would share some of my favorite things.

Mint continues to be my favorite color and sweaters continue to be my favorite way to stay warm.
Having only owned this sweater a couple weeks, I have already worn it multiple times both casual and dressed-up which is always a sign of a good buy.  One of the reasons I love the color mint is because it looks lovely with both gold and silver and is a soft backdrop to show off other bold hues such as my other fave: hot pink.

January Favorite Things

  1.  [Forever21 Essential Multi-Knit Sweater $22.80]
  2.  [Bauble Bar Silver Links Necklace $38] Rhinestones + Chain Links = Amazing
  3.  [Bobbi Brown Limited Edition Sparkle Eye Shadow in Gold Star $28]  This eyeshadow has been one of my favorites all season.  So happy they brought it back!  Perfect for layering over cream shadows for extra sparkle.  A CC must have.
  4. [L'Oreal Colour Riche Caresse Stick in Pink Vinyl $8] A beauty world favorite.
  5. [MANGO Boyfriend Style Jeans $50]  I am really into MANGO right now and constantly searching for the perfect boyfriend jean.  Could this be it?  Love [this outfit].
  6. [Cambridge Satchel Metallic 11" $175]  Anything rose gold.
  7. [H&M Ankle Boots $34.95] Winter wardrobe staple.
  8. [Gap Geo Honeycomb Tights $15]  Gap has great patterned tights.
  9. [H&M Leather Skirt $99]  One of my favorite purchases this season.  Such a classic.

Smitten Kitten

One of my favorite recent purchases  has been this dress:

If you look close enough, you will notice the print is actually cats.  How clever!

Hot pink cats rule.

Now I consider myself much more of a dog person but I just couldn't resist.  Besides being kind of adorable, the fit of this dress is also flattering.  And it has pockets!  Why does every woman love a pocket on a dress?  I think the "wedge" portion of this dress is the shorter in the front, longer in the back silhouette that is a nice little touch.

I plan on wearing this to work with my whiskey boots, tights and a black blazer.  When the weather turns warmer, I will go for red shoes like the model.

CCTip:  LOFT has 60% off sale.  This dress can be your's for $24.

Neon Cap Toe Flats

Last year I was in love with these flats and almost bought them on super sale.

If memory serves me correctly, they were around $225.

Then I heard a viscous rumor the neon cap toe kept falling off the shoe.

So when I saw these shoes at Forever21, I was willing to take a chance to the tune of $17.

Side-by-side it is obvious the Kate Spade flat is the superior shoe.  The F21 pair lacks the lovely cork I was so feeling, however, the over $200 savings cancels this out and allows me to be satisfied.  Fingers crossed the neon cap toe stays put.
